Because I like organisations, I want to shape and change them. The big question that drives me: how can associations and federations carry their valuable work into the digital age?

My professional background

Since my youth I have been interested in what is today referred to as nonprofit organisations or the "third sector". I volunteered at NAJU and later, together with others, built an alternative youth cultural centre. During my studies in administrative sciences I approached organisational aspects and, in parallel, implemented digitalisation projects for Jugendpresse Deutschland and the European Youth Press – including the first platform in Germany with Creative Commons-licensed photos. After my studies I started in fundraising at NABU, where I had the chance to build up online fundraising. To this day I work for NABU as an external consultant. In 2010 I became self-employed as a consultant.

Today I am still working in the nonprofit sector with all my heart – together with committed members, idealists and volunteers, including all the challenges that come with it.

Consultant and sparring partner

I work across all areas of digital communication: from web analytics and email marketing to online fundraising. The field of generative AI has now been added, rapidly changing the way we work.

As a consultant, sparring partner and coach, I always keep the whole organisation in view. How does an organisation want to present itself? How does it communicate internally and externally? And how can target audiences best be reached?

Instructor and lecturer

Alongside my work as a consultant, I work as an instructor for various academies and universities. From short formats at Haus des Stiftens, through series at the academy of Fundraising Austria, to leading the online fundraising course and the generative AI course at the Fundraising Akademie. I am also a lecturer in fundraising at the University of Mannheim and Trier University of Applied Sciences.
